Terms and Conditions of Accreditation:

Media representatives intending to participate in covering are requested to complete the press pass application form or before Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. (Hong Kong time). Upon receiving email confirmation from HKFAA, the reply form bearing the official stamp of the organization must be sent to [email protected] for processing and arrangements.

Please read carefully and to agree to the following

  1. Only successful applicants whose applications have been approved by HKFAA and who can present the original badge will be admitted to the event venue. Others will not be entertained.
  2. All press accreditation badges are only valid for the approved applicants and are non-transferrable.
  3. Please wear the press accreditation badge at all times within the designated areas of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. HKFAA reserves the right to request any individual to present identity verification when required.
  4. Please conduct interviews, photo-taking and video shooting within the designated press zone.
  5. Press accreditation badges will not be reissued under any circumstances.
  6. Press accreditation badges CANNOT be sold, transferred, exchanged, or forged. Selling, stealing, forging and counterfeiting these badges will be reported to police.
  7. Other than photo-taking, any forms of livestreaming, delayed airing, videotaping or recording is strictly prohibited in the Grand Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre during the award presentation ceremony.
  8. Except for the HKFAA's designated film crew, any form of live broadcast (including video and audio) of awardee interviews or photo-taking during these interviews in the Media Centre (i.e. the Concert Hall of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre), is strictly prohibited.
  9. Photo-taking, videotaping, livestreaming, delayed airing or recording of the award presentation ceremony from the giant screen in the Media Centre, i.e. the Concert Hall of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, is strictly prohibited.
  10. All coverage by visiting media is strictly limited to use in news reports related to the Hong Kong Film Awards. Such content must not be used in other programmes or sections, sublicensed to other media outlets for broadcast, or exploited for commercial purposes.
  11. Please comply with the usage rights and regulations set by HKFAA for “The 44th Hong Kong Film Awards”. HKFAA reserves the right to pursue legal actions against any infringement.
  12. Entrants are requested to comply with all other house rules of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
  13. In case of any disputes, HKFAA reserves the right to revise and interpret the terms and conditions. The decision of HKFAA shall be final.

Registration Procedure:

1. Registration Deadline: 31, March, 2026 (Tuesday), at 1:00 p.m. (Hong Kong Time). Late applications will not be accepted.

2. Due to limited space, Hong Kong Film Awards Association (HKFAA) has set application quotas and reserves the rights to assess the accreditation and issue the press accreditation badges at its own discretion.

3. Please submit the completed registration form together with a digital file of a color, front-facing photo of the journalist (without a hat). The photo specifications are as follows:

  • Image type: JPEG, PNG
  • File size: 5 MB or below

Acceptable dimension:

  • Captured by scanner (600dpi) - Photograph size: 40 mm(W) x 50 mm(H) or
  • Captured by digital camera - Image size: at least 1200 px(W) x 1600 px(H)

4. Applicants who have successfully registered will receive an email confirmation from the HKFAA. They are required to send the reply form, duly stamped by their organization, to the email address [email protected] for processing and arrangements. Submission of the form signifies that the applicant, the visiting journalist, and their affiliated organization agree to the interview terms and the arrangements made by the Association.

5. Please fill out the application form clearly along with VALID email address and contact telephone number. Applications with incomplete or incorrect information will not be processed.

6. Starting from March 18, 2026 (Wednesday), the HKFAA will notify successful applicants by email regarding the arrangements for collecting press passes. Unsuccessful application will not be informed.


USAGE GUILDLINES OF PRESS ACCREDITATION BADGES AND INTERVIEW REGULATIONS:

Due to venue limitations, the number of press pass applications for this year’s awards ceremony will be restricted according to different media types and coverage categories:

Each local newspaper, magazine and online media may apply for not more than: 2 (Two) 2 (Two)
Each radio station, mainland or overseas newspaper, magazine and online media may apply for not more than: 1 (One) 1 (One)
Each news agency may apply for not more than: 2 (Two) 2 (Two)
Each production crew of the local television broadcaster may apply for not more than: 4 (Four) (for covering Red Carpet and Awardees’ Interviews)
Each production crew of mainland or overseas television broadcaster may apply for not more than: 3 (Three) (for covering Red Carpet and Awardees’ Interviews)

Two types of press accreditation badges are available for different covering timeslots at designated venues:

Notes:

1. Press accreditation application form, which is sent to the designated media only, should not be forwarded to any other organizations.

2. Each reporter can apply for ONE press accreditation only.

3. Once the application is approved, changing of attending reporter on site will not be accepted.

4. Successful applicants shall bear any transportation, meal and accommodation expenses incurred in covering the event.

5. NO designated WI-FI network will be provided by HKFAA at the venue. Attending reporters shall bear all mobile network data and call charges incurred in covering the event.

6. Please send copy of the news coverage via email to [email protected] after the 44th Hong Kong Film Awards presentation ceremony on or before 27 April, 2026(Monday).

  • Colored recent photos (within the last six months)
  • Plain background, without any other individuals or objects in the photo
  • Except for religious or ethnic customs, no headgear that obscures the face is allowed
  • Applicants should maintain an upright posture, with shoulders level and facing the camera directly
  • The applicant´s facial expression should be natural with eyes open
  • Ensure even lighting
  • Sharp focus on the subject
